Job summary

Julius Baer in Madrid is seeking a Test Automation Platform Engineer to own and evolve the global test automation platform within an agile product team. You will work with development teams to translate their needs into scalable platform capabilities, enabling faster, higher quality software deliveries.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with modern testing tools, Java or TypeScript, and CI/CD integrations, especially GitLab.

Qualifications

• Experience building, operating, or extending test automation solutions and developer tooling.
• Hands-on with performance, functional, or end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with Java or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and GitLab; experience reporting via Jira is a plus.
• Knowledge of APIs and cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the bank's global test automation platform.
• Drive the platform lifecycle end-to-end, from architecture to operation.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to translate needs into platform capabilities.
• Champion developer experience by improving workflows and self-service capabilities.
• Promote testing-as-code through an API-first platform with CI/CD integration.
• Contribute to the platform roadmap and future software quality engineering.
