Job summary

Julius Baer is seeking a Technical Product Owner for the Test Automation Platform to guide development teams in delivering high-quality software. You will own the product vision, backlog, and roadmap, while contributing hands-on to design, implementation, and platform operations.

Based in Madrid, you will collaborate with a small platform team and drive API-first capabilities, testing-as-code, and strong developer experience across the bank's global engineering platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience combining product ownership with technical leadership.
• Strong software or platform engineering background (Java/TypeScript).
• Hands-on testing experience with Playwright, k6, Selenium, or similar.
• Experience integrating testing solutions with CI/CD and Jira is advantageous.
• Knowledge of APIs, automation, cloud-native tech, and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the bank's global test automation platform.
• Lead the platform lifecycle from discovery to delivery, operation, and improvement.
• Collaborate with dev teams to translate needs into platform capabilities.
• Advance testing-as-code with API-first platform and CI/CD integration.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture and engineering practices.
• Contribute hands-on to implementation, reviews, and platform operations.
• Champion developer experience and self-service capabilities for test data, execution, and reporting.
• Track adoption, reliability, usability, and developer satisfaction.
