Job Description :

Are you an experienced Automation Engineer with a passion for innovation and excellence? We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer – OEM / CSV to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality automation solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

As an Automation Engineer, you will :

  • Collaborate with Digital MMD teams and vendors to deliver the PLC / SCADA elements of OEM systems.
  • Partner with local site project teams to scope and implement changes on PLC systems.
  • Maintain inventory and manage upgrades to PLC / SCADA systems.
  • Follow SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) procedures to implement changes, including :
  • Preparing and approving quality assurance plans and close-out reports.
  • Scoping changes and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Generating, executing, and approving protocols.
  • Reviewing and approving automation documents.
  • Supporting field testing equipment and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure all implementations are carried out safely and with a focus on quality.
  • Educate local project teams on automation standards, covering technology selection, system configuration, validation, and business processes.
  • Establish and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for OEM systems, ensuring appropriate support is available.
  • Build strong relationships with key OEM vendors to ensure reliable supply and cost-effective support.
  • Collaborate with internal IT departments to ensure secure and standardized implementations in line with company policies.

Profile / Requirements :

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Training in PLC standards and batch processes.
  • 3+ years of experience in PLC applications.
  • Proven experience in business analysis for small-sized projects.
  • Strong understanding of cGMPs, SDLC methodologies, and LEAN / MPS / Six Sigma principles.
  • Excellent facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business problems, develop business cases, and identify process and technological solutions.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience commissioning PLC systems at GMP manufacturing sites.
  • Technical leadership experience.
  • Project management and people management experience.
  • Background in the life sciences industry.
  • Familiarity with applications such as : Kneat, Siemens WinCC / S7, Aveva System Platform / InTouch, Aveva (OSI) PI, Microsoft 365, and Windows Core.
  • Experience with processes such as : WFI Generation & Distribution, Building Management Systems, Cleaning and Sterilization (Parts Washers & Autoclaves), Blending and Formulation, Filling, Packaging, and Inspection.
