Auth0 Security Engineer, Detection and Response, remoto

This role involves:

  1. Shadowing and working closely with the incident commander for security incidents, with a focus on prevention.
  2. Using your experience to hunt for threats across enterprise and production environments, proactively gathering missing data.
  3. Acting as an escalation point for automated alerts.
  4. Performing variant analysis and root cause analysis to identify systemic bugs.
  5. Developing creative solutions to complex security problems, balancing business needs and risks.
  6. Maintaining knowledge of the rapidly changing threat landscape.
  7. Participating in regular on-call responsibilities and incident response roles.
  8. Collaborating with other security engineers and stakeholders to architect and deploy security solutions.
  9. Developing detections as code within our in-house detection pipeline.

Qualifications include 1-3 years in a high-demand security team, a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent, excellent English skills, strong knowledge of attack vectors, understanding of cloud workloads (AWS, Azure, GCP), and willingness to work on-call. Located in Spain or the UK.
