Zurich Cover-More is seeking an Audit Manager in Madrid to lead audit activities following the integration of the Travel Guard business. This role requires a strong background in Internal Audit and Risk Management, along with a relevant degree and over 6 years of experience. Key responsibilities include leading audit planning and assessments while applying innovative approaches and technologies. Zurich Cover-More is a global leader in travel insurance and assistance, operating under the Zurich Insurance Group. We are seeking an Audit Manager to support the integration of the newly acquired Travel Guard business and to lead audit activities across the expanded Zurich Cover-More organization.

Responsibilities

• Assess and execute audit activities related to the global integration.
• Implement interim and target-state audit frameworks.
• Lead risk assessment and audit planning, including scoping and identification of key risks.
• Apply Data Analytics, IT fundamentals, and GenAI to audit work.
• Manage day‑to‑day stakeholder relationships and build strong working partnerships.
• Develop high‑quality audit reports with business impact analysis and root‑cause findings.
• Co‑create a leading audit function utilizing innovative audit approaches, Agile methods, and new‑world skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or professional qualification (CPA, CIA, CISA, MBA or equivalent).
• 6+ years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management or Compliance within the insurance industry, or 8+ years of experience in insurance business positions.
• Good understanding of insurance business; experience with travel insurance is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Audit Standards, methodology, and internal control frameworks; excellent report‑writing skills.
• Extensive experience in complex, fast‑moving, international organizations.
• Strong relationship‑management and influencing skills with ability to interact with stakeholders at all seniority levels.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies (Data, IT, AI).
• Excellent project management skills, ability to organize teams, prioritize tasks, and coach team members.
• Passion and enthusiasm for personal and professional growth.
• Collaborative, flexible, determined, and results‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
