The role requires strong analytical and writing skills, with responsibilities including evaluating financial alternatives and working on complex transactions. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of investment banking experience, particularly in M&A, and be native Spanish speakers. PJT Partners' Strategic Advisory team in Madrid is seeking an Associate with strong analytical and writing skills, who takes initiative, has great attention to detail, works well under pressure, and can perform independently and within teams in a boutique investment advisory firm. The Advisory group is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry and has been involved in some of the largest and most complex transactions over the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on diverse industries including technology, media & telecommunications, energy, power & utilities, oil & gas, industrials, healthcare, real estate, gaming, and lodging.
Associates work directly with companies to evaluate, structure, and recommend financial and strategic alternatives. They typically work on a variety of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, asset sales, restructurings, and divestitures. Associates are staffed directly on client teams and are involved in all aspects of transactions, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and negotiating contracts and agreements. The small size of this group offers professionals the opportunity to gain client exposure and work closely with senior team members, many of whom were previously group heads at leading investment banking firms.
