Formación

• PhD en Ingeniería, preferiblemente en digitalización y áreas relacionadas.

IQS School of Engineering, integrated in Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, offers bachelor’s degrees in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, as well as Masters and PhD programs in science and engineering.

The Department of Industrial Engineering is responsible for teaching in the bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, as well as in the Master in Industrial Engineering, and other engineering related disciplines. IQS is currently looking for candidates starting on 2025-2026 academic year to fill the position of:

Associate Professor in Engineering

Associate Professor (Profesor/a Contratado/a Doctor/a) to join the Department of Industrial Engineering for teaching and developing research activities as well as other academic duties. Main job functions include:

• Teaching different topics of industrial engineering related to human machine interaction and digitalization.
• Developing research in the priority topics included in IQS and Ramon Llull University scientific policy, integrating and coordinating with research activities of the Department of Industrial Engineering.
• Actively engaging in securing competitive research funding, establishing and participating in projects of technology transfer, and establishing internal collaborative research programs with other professors and researchers at IQS.
• Establishing and fostering international research collaborations.

Evaluation criteria for candidate:

• PhD in Engineering, mainly in digitalization and related areas.
• Postdoctoral or industrial experience – preferably international – in the field of Mechatronics or related areas.
• A track record of research publications in international journals and/or patents.
• Teaching experience in Engineering courses at bachelor or master level with strong experimental approach.
• Participation and/or leadership in competitive research projects and secure external funding.
• Good level of English to be able to teach in this language.
• Accreditation of teaching and/or research activity by national evaluation agencies or having enough merits to obtain it.
• Experience in industrial projects working with actuators and sensors, integrating electronic devices. Availability to acquire data for applications in medical devices, bioengineering, chemical, and industrial sectors.
