Associate Director Architecture Data & AI

Location : Barcelona, Spain

IQVIA Translations Services provides a wide range of language services to the healthcare industry, supported by innovative technology solutions. We aim to address unmet needs and embed the latest technological advancements to deliver high-quality, efficient services.

We are seeking a versatile Solution IT Architect to join our Research & Innovation team in a dynamic AWS cloud environment, following SOPs and Agile methodologies. You will report to the Research & Innovation Director and serve as a technical leader, working with a talented team to design, deploy, and develop cutting-edge products and services.

As Associate Director of Architecture, you will be responsible for balancing cost, performance, and innovation in cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Architect and design enterprise solutions focusing on workflow automation and process efficiency within the language services industry.
  2. Coordinate with teams during the SDLC to develop and implement technology solutions using current technologies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
  4. Establish methodologies and create SOPs for solution adoption and ongoing operation.
  5. Ensure solutions comply with security and privacy standards.
  6. Conduct testing to validate solutions meet requirements.
  7. Create comprehensive documentation and technical guides.
  8. Follow design and development standards, including configuration management.
  9. Work with technology partners and vendors for delivery.
  10. Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate them into solutions.
Architecture and Development:
  1. Design and implement robust, scalable technical solutions using modern technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  2. Ensure continuous integration and delivery within development teams.
  3. Maintain cloud infrastructure, particularly on MS Azure.
  4. Define and communicate technical standards.
  5. Design optimal architectures based on product requirements.
  6. Obtain approval from the Technical Design Architecture board.
  7. Automate deployment and monitoring processes.
  8. Develop training programs to enhance DevOps skills.
Management:
  1. Lead and mentor a team of developers and systems engineers.
  2. Manage human resources and develop team skills.
  3. Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to meet client needs.
Security and Compliance:
  1. Establish security standards (DevSecOps) and ensure regulatory compliance.
  2. Manage security tools to safeguard information systems.
Systems and Network Administration:
  1. Administer systems such as Solaris, Linux, and Windows.
Data Management:
  1. Work with databases like Oracle SQL and data tools like Cloudera Hive.
  2. Ensure data availability and integrity.
Profile:

Passionate about new technologies and management, with strong adaptability and teamwork skills. Your initiative and expertise will contribute significantly to our growth.

Qualifications:
  • Experience and knowledge across a broad spectrum of technologies, both on-premises and cloud (preferably AWS).
  • Experience in designing and documenting scalable, highly available architectures with automation and security best practices.
  • At least 2 years managing teams and 5 years in the technology field, with 3+ years in solution architecture for localization solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Bash, Python, SQL), databases, and integration tools.
  • Experience with Linux, Solaris, Windows, MS Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and security standards.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
