Context And Mission

The Language Technologies Unit at BSC specializes in NLP, including large language models, biomedical text mining, machine translation, and unsupervised learning for under-resourced languages. It leads national projects for Spanish and Catalan AI resources and participates in EU projects.

We are seeking an MLOps engineer experienced in automating ML development, deployment, and monitoring. The role involves developing and maintaining ML pipelines, ensuring high performance and reliability, and deploying models effectively in a high-performance computing environment.

Key Duties

• Design and implement CI / CD and monitoring processes for ML models.
• Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines.
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of ML models.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions.
• Identify improvements in the ML lifecycle.
• Collaborate with data and ML engineers on model architecture and hyperparameters.
• Ensure open-source accessibility and deployment reproducibility via containerization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Essential Knowledge and Experience

• Automation experience with Python, Bash, or similar scripting tools.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or comparable containerization tools.
• Cloud technology experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack).
• Knowledge of Automation / DevOps tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with object storage solutions like Minio or AWS S3.
• Knowledge of NGINX or similar proxy solutions.

Additional Knowledge and Skills

• Fluency in spoken and written English.
