As a Associate Critical Environment Operations Manager (ACEOM)you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, Office 365, Xbox,OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Data Center Operations / Service Delivery:

Empower a culture of safety, security, complianceand operational excellenceinall aspectsofourDatacenteroperations
Lead a team of Technician Managers, Program Managers and Technicians supporting Microsoft's online services
Responsible to ensure team staffing, training and qualification.

Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in our Datacenters

• MaximizeCritical Environment (CE) availabilityto ensure optimaloperationalefficiency
• Reduce high-impactand human-error Critical Environment (CE)incidents yearoveryear

Deliver oncost/energy efficiencyinitiatives

Manage operation budget and forecasts, as well as vendor contract negotiations and performance.
Ensure OKRs and KPIs routine reportingto effectively manage and analyze Datacenter Operation (Operation and maintenance activity, Availability, Power/Temperature/Relative Humidity, and SLA monitoring)
• Establish and enhance strong working relationshipsand engagementwithour Engineering Groups (EGs), andbusinesspartners
• Work with regional and global peers to share and build best practices across the entire datacenter portfolio

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent AND a few years of experience of technical mission critical (electrical and mechanical) service management (e.g., manufacturing,Power plants, Hospitals, Airports, Pharma, Power plants, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure).
• Experience in leading, directly managing or supporting a team.
• Managing budgets
• Fluent in English (writing, reading, verbal)
• Ability and wilingness to work 100% on site, and travel between sites (all in Madrid)

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not required, we also look for the followingPreferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) AND 5+ years experience working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling) AND Experience managing budget $500k+
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 3+ years experience in leading a diverse, technical team.
• Applicable certifications: ASICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, CCNA Certifications, ITIL v3 Foundation, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications, Leadership Development Certifications, PMP, CDCP.

Bachelor’sDegreeor Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services

Experience with Computerize Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Building Monitoring Systems (BMS, BAS, EPMS)

Experience working on large scaleCEprojects

Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation

Experience withthe operation ofIT infrastructure (Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.)
