Join our team shaping the future of BBVA Spain's technological architecture. We are looking for an Associate in Banking Architecture to support our proprietary Next Gen architectures across the country, developed with technologies like Java and Spark.

You will work within the Spain Architecture team, a leading group in the bank, driving technological evolution of backend platforms and collaborating with strategic partners such as Google Cloud, AWS, RedHat, Oracle.

About the job:

What will be your role?

• Provide local technical support for the bank's strategic Next Gen architectures.
• Participate in evolving our Next Gen platforms focused on scalability, resilience, and cloud-native modernization.
• Work closely with global teams managing runtimes across the group.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure best practices and technical alignment.
• Engage in cutting-edge technological initiatives with our key tech partners.

What profile are we looking for?

• Experience with Java, distributed environments, and modern backend architectures.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and development practices: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Sonar, Cucumber.
• Valuable experience with Spark, virtualized environments, and cloud ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and multidisciplinary team work.
• Strong collaboration skills, continuous learning, and a service-oriented attitude.
