Assoc. Director, Business Analyst, Technical Research & Development (TRD)

Summary

This role involves transforming business requirements into IT solution design specifications to meet customer expectations while ensuring solutions are safe, reliable, scalable, and flexible. The candidate will advise on improving global business processes, products, services, and software through data analysis, engaging with global business leaders and leveraging Data Digital and IT (DDIT) teams to deliver data-driven improvements.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Stay updated on internal IT systems, documentation standards (including quality management and IT security), regulatory requirements, DDIT Service Portfolio, and industry best practices.
  2. Develop project rationale, perform scoping assessments, identify gaps, and review requirements with stakeholders.
  3. Create comprehensive requirement specifications, estimate project costs, time, resources, and develop financial models. Collaborate with service development teams to suggest high-level solutions.
  4. Involve relevant stakeholders in defining new services or major upgrades.
  5. Design and deploy solutions with a focus on user experience.
  6. Maintain consistency and traceability between requirements, specifications, and testing. Support validation and testing processes.
  7. Ensure solutions meet specifications and are fit for purpose. Support super user training.
Role Requirements
  • University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, or similar.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in Pharma or IT industry, with 8+ years in Lab IT domain.
  • Minimum of 6+ years as a business analyst, process expert, business IT lead superuser, or Lab data/Digital specialist.
  • Expertise in business process analysis, system architecture, and Lab business processes; drug development experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GXP, 21CFR Part 11, and CSV lifecycle.
  • Experience with Lab systems including LIMS and Chromatography systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex business and information challenges.
  • Proficiency in working with global teams, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Basic Project Management knowledge; Agile experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with TRD and knowledge of TRD processes preferred.
  • Innovation and digital transformation experience are beneficial, including data strategy and data science.
