As an Assistant Sommelier at La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel you are part of a team that sets the unique stage for an unforgettable dining experience, creating carefully crafted Michelin-starred menus, or simply delivering unforgettable moments that matter. Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Provide the best experience and complete satisfaction to our clients in general, anticipating their needs and responding effectively and appropriately to their concerns or requests.
• Apply all knowledge and control over the beverage stock, ensuring the perfect condition and storage of the wines in the restaurant's cellar to avoid unnecessary cost losses.
• Maintain the vintages, prices, and condition of the wine list up to date, keep an up-to-date inventory of glassware, and make the necessary replacements to meet the restaurant's needs.
• Report any breakages, anomalies, or required needs to your direct supervisor.

What You Bring:

• Carry out the tasks assigned at your workplace following the instructions of your shift supervisors, such as: preparation of mise en place for the assigned service, review of wine lists, checking par stocks of beverages at your workplace, and setting up service areas.
• Maintain the preparation line, cost breakdowns, decoration, and style so that both in their creation and presentation they meet the standards established by the management team.
• Have complete or, if not, maximum knowledge of all the products sold in the department.
• Full involvement and participation in table service and customer care.
