Our Assistant Managers are part of a team of dedicated Yugoers across the globe, supporting us to provide consistent, high-quality service to our students. We seek #Futureshapers who want to positively influence and shape the lives of students and fellow Yugoers.

This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective facilities and maintenance services. You will be responsible for managing the residence in the Residence Manager's absence, ensuring all aspects of the residence operate smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and guide the team to ensure the residence runs smoothly, using your upbeat, outgoing personality.
  • Follow up on sales opportunities and ensure the property maintains full capacity through short-term and long-term lets.
  • Drive sales and marketing efforts to maximize occupancy and utilize all marketing channels effectively.
  • Maintain high standards for the property's presentation through regular inspections and collaboration with the facilities team.
  • Handle complaints professionally and provide excellent customer service to students.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders at local universities and with internal and external suppliers.
  • Manage the operational calendar and student lifecycle, including arrivals, departures, and summer turnarounds.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the management of a residence, preferably within hotels, hospitality, or student accommodation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships.
  • A passion for providing students with an exceptional living experience.
  • Behaviors aligned with our values of integrity, commitment, and energy.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a focus on sales and marketing.
  • Qualification or willingness to undertake Carbon Literacy training.
