Our Assistant Managers are part of a team of awesome Yugoers across the globe, who will support you to ensure we are consistent in the service we provide to our students. #Futureshapers who want to positively influence and shape the lives of students and Yugoers.

This role requires a hands-on approach to work, ensuring we deliver cost-effective facilities and maintenance services. You will be responsible for managing the residence when the Residence Manager is not on the property, ensuring all aspects of the residence continue running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Residence Manager, here is a snapshot of what you will do :

  • Use your upbeat, outgoing personality to lead, mentor, and guide the team to ensure that the residence is running smoothly.
  • Follow up on all sales opportunities and ensure the property is at capacity through short-term and long-term lets.
  • Drive sales and marketing activities to ensure the residences are full and all marketing channels are utilized effectively.
  • Maintain high standards, reflected in the overall presentation of the property, through regular inspections and collaboration with the facilities team.
  • Handle complaints and provide excellent customer service to students, managing both positive and negative feedback.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at local universities and with internal and external suppliers, leveraging your winning personality.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the calendar and student lifecycle from arrival to departure and summer turnaround.

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Relevant experience supporting residence operations within hotels, hospitality, or student accommodation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain quality relationships.
  • A passion to ensure students have the best experience of their lives while living with us.
  • Behaviors aligned with our values of integrity, commitment, and energy.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a focus on sales and marketing.
  • Qualification and / or willingness to undertake training for Carbon Literacy.
