Join a dynamic outreach project focused on bridging cultures through English conversation and social media. In this role, you will be pivotal in connecting language learners with volunteers, facilitating discussions that not only improve language skills but also introduce spiritual conversations. This is an exciting opportunity to serve long-term as a missionary, making a meaningful impact while working collaboratively with a passionate team. If you are dedicated to disciple-making and eager to utilize technology creatively in your ministry, this role is for you.
Assistant Project Administrator : The Ephraim Project
Are you a team player with a personal passion to reach people for Jesus?
Are you teachable, flexible and willing to pursue team goals?
Are you comfortable using social media and excited to apply it in missions to reach into the Middle East?
Are you excited about using technology in a creative way in your ministry?
The Ephraim Project is a social media outreach. One aspect is in partnership with national believers who are using an overt Christian message in their native language. The content they develop is for people seeking to learn about Christianity where they engage in spiritual conversations, receive counseling, and discipleship. The second aspect of the project uses English conversation to build relationships. Through these English social media groups, members whose interest is to improve their English find friendships, and seeds of the Gospel are planted.
As well as shared oversight of the Ephraim project, your daily focus would be English conversation - an exciting outreach that brings together language learners in an informal manner. Learners are grouped by native language, and sessions are in audio and written formats. Online chat sessions are topical, with some grammar and spelling reinforcement. The sessions are held to allow practice in spoken and written English, rather than English instruction in a formal setting. Several English-speaking volunteers participate in the chat sessions.
