A leading sports resort in Europe is seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager, passionate about hospitality and sports tourism. This role involves executing marketing strategies, engaging B2B clients, and enhancing brand visibility. Ideal candidates have a degree in a related field, 2 years of relevant experience, and are fluent in English.

Formación

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or commercial roles.
  • Fluent in English; German highly valued; Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with social media management.

Playitas Resort, the leading sports resort in Europe, offers more than 30 different sports and fitness activities for everyone who wants to get fit, stay fit or prepare for a sports event. Located in a picturesque bay next to the fishing village of Las Playitas on the beach, the resort offers its guests state-of-the-art facilities such as a heated Olympic pool, a bike centre equipped with the latest road bikes and mountain bikes, 5 tennis courts, 4 padel courts, 2 multicourts, a climbing wall with 5 levels of difficulty, a boxing ring, indoor hall, a 700m² gym, open air fitness park and an 18-hole golf course.

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Assistant Marketing Manager to support and implement sales and marketing strategies with a strong focus on the hospitality and sports tourism sectors. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who enjoys building client relationships, and is eager to grow brand visibility and revenue in both domestic and international markets.

Your responsibilities

MARKETING

  • Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns aimed at leisure travelers, corporate clients, and sports organizations
  • Support the management of social media platforms and create engaging content to promote the resorts’ offerings and facilities
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to propose innovative actions and positioning strategies
  • Create, update, and manage content for online and offline platforms
  • Oversee the sourcing and management of merchandise and branded materials
  • Coordinate and supervise corporate photo and video shoots
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communication channels
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop promotional campaigns and event-related communications
  • Lead the Playitas Nature team, including implementation and follow-up of yearly objectives
  • Coordinate the Travelife sustainability certification process

SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Identify and engage potential B2B clients such as corporate groups, travel agencies, sports federations, and event planners
  • Support the creation of customized proposals and packages for events, retreats, camps, and group bookings.
  • Maintain a structured sales pipeline and conduct regular follow-ups with leads and partners
  • Represent the resort at tourism fairs, industry workshops, and networking events to drive lead generation
  • Work closely with the reservations and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of group bookings
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for sales growth and positioning
  • Promote cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize guest revenue and satisfaction

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Tourism, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, and / or commercial roles, ideally within the hospitality or tourism industry
  • Strong commercial acumen and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to travel and to work flexible schedules based on business needs
  • Fluent in English (mandatory); German highly valued; Spanish or other European languages are a plus
  • Confident in managing social media platforms and familiar with digital marketing tools and trends
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and Email Marketing.
  • Proficient with design and content tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva, CapCut).
  • Highly organized, with strong multitasking abilities and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Affinity for sports and active lifestyle is a plus.
