We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer Franchise in our Madrid, London, or Milan office.
Michael Kors is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the buying team in managing a growing franchise business. Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment are essential.
Job Responsibilities :
- Generate weekly selling reports and business analysis to identify trends, maximize opportunities, and minimize liabilities, ensuring continued growth and profitability.
- Maintain assortment sheets, update pricing, and reconcile orders.
- Recommend reorders for best sellers and share insights to influence business growth.
- Execute and maintain merchandising guidelines, top investments, and product knowledge information; support the buying team in presentations.
- Partner with the team to analyze sales data, prepare insights, and identify opportunities in the assortment, both on and off market. Create visual boards as needed.
- Organize seasonal markets virtually or at MK Showroom in Milan, confidently supporting and selling collections to franchise partners.
- Assist buyers with order insertion and follow-up with relevant parties (Licensee Partners, CS, merchandising teams).
- Track merchandise memos for order cancellations, suggest replacements, and update OTB files.
- Support buying planning, operations, and VM teams in executing merchandising strategies per partner.
- Assist the marketing team with campaign support.
- Support partner visits, building brand and market knowledge proactively.
- Coordinate with the Ops team to ensure timely shipment of FGPO and partner orders, working with CS to confirm shipments.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer literacy
- Strong communication skills, capable of working with diverse cultures
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with financial acumen
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication with key accounts in a multicultural setting
- Dynamic, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Fashion sense and industry know-how
