Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Madrid is seeking an experienced Assistant Banquets Manager to lead the Banquets department with passion and creativity. You will ensure exceptional service, coordinate with planners and internal teams, and supervise staff to uphold Four Seasons standards.

The role requires 1–2 years in a similar assistant manager position and 2 years managing a high-volume banquet space. Fluency in English and Spanish is expected.

About the role:

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Banquets Manager to join our team !

Reporting into the Banquets Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Banquets department operation with passion and creativity; ensuring exceptional service and attention to our guests.

What you will do:

• Assist the Banquet Manager in overseeing daily banquet operations and event execution.
• Coordinate with event planners, clients, and internal departments (kitchen, sales, housekeeping) to ensure smooth event delivery.
• Supervise, train, and motivate banquet staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and procedures.
• Ensure proper setup, service, and breakdown of all banquet functions according to event orders (BEOs).
• Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist in scheduling staff and managing labor costs effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Support inventory control, equipment maintenance, and proper use of banquet facilities.
• Participate in pre‑event meetings and brief staff on event details and service expectations.
• Handle administrative tasks such as reports, staff attendance, and operational documentation.

What you bring:

Experience: One to two years previous experience as an assistant manager position at Banquets or Food & Beverage outlet. 2 years of experience managing a high‑volume restaurant or banquet space.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent ability to handle high profile customers under pressure and an extremely high level of professionalism.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
• Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems, including MICROS, Microsoft Office, and labor management and payroll systems.
• Multiple communication approaches for various event guests and clients.
• Ability to proactively anticipate and prioritize the needs of guests and employees.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Flexible schedule with ability to work all day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Schedule & Hours:

This is a full‑time position.

This role might operate on a rotating shift basis, covering morning and evening shifts throughout the week, including weekends.
