What we’re looking for
We seek a senior researcher for our Area of Communication Sciences to conduct research and teaching (Associate Professor of Advertising & Public Relations) in the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels in Communication Sciences, focusing on Advertising, Public Relations, Corporate Communication, and Sustainability Communication.
- Publish research articles in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, especially in sustainability, corporate communication, and social impact of communication.
- Lead and collaborate in research groups focused on communication strategies for sustainability and corporate responsibility.
- Contribute to the acquisition of research projects and grants, particularly those related to sustainability, ethics, and social impact.
- Participate in academic program administration and other faculty responsibilities.
- Help develop and improve the Advertising and Public Relations curriculum, integrating contemporary challenges and aligning with industry trends.

Selection process
In May 2018, EURAXESS awarded UIC Barcelona an Excellence Award for Research in Human Resources, ensuring selection based on excellence criteria. The process involves:
- An independent expert panel assessing all applications.
- A public oral defense by finalists, including a presentation of academic, teaching, and research activities, followed by a Q&A session lasting 60 minutes.
What we offer
- A three-year tenure track position with evaluation at 18 months.
- Potential for permanent appointment upon successful completion of the tenure track.

Requirements
- PhD in Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Fashion Communication, Sustainability Communication, or related fields.
- At least one active sexenio recognized by CNEAI, ANECA, or equivalent.
- Expertise in digital communication, corporate communication, sustainability, brand purpose, and social responsibility.
- Proven publication record in indexed journals related to communication and social responsibility.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to curriculum development.
