Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Plc in Sevilla is seeking an Asset Performance Engineer to monitor solar PV plants and BESS systems, analyze performance data and drive improvements.

You will own technical KPIs, coordinate with O&M teams, report to management, and support testing, benchmarking and post‑COD reviews in an international environment.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, 3–6 years in PV/BESS, proficiency in English and MS Office, and experience with PVsyst.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with PV/BESS experience.
• 3–6 years in the solar PV and/or BESS sector.
• English proficiency required; travel internationally.
• Experience with PVsyst and MS Office preferred.

We are currently recruiting a Asset Performance Engineer to join our team and contribute to key projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is part of a global team working toward common goals. We operate as one company, across all locations, with shared responsibility and clear accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of solar photovoltaic plants and BESS systems using SCADA, EMS, and other monitoring tools.
• Report performance and improvement plans to top management.
• Own technical and operational KPIs within scope: define, implement, and monitor.
• Identify gaps and take action.
• Identify improvement opportunities and coordinate execution with the O&M teams.
• Conduct root-cause analyses of production losses, in coordination with the rest of technical areas.
• Propose and implement corrective actions and optimization strategies to maximize energy production and the operational value of the BESS.
• Support acceptance testing, performance benchmarking, and post-COD reviews.

Education & Certifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience in PV and/or BESS.
• Demonstrable BESS technical experience/certifications covering system architecture, battery degradation, performance warranties, safety, and operational risk management is highly desirable.
• PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project/improvement-management credentials are advantageous.

Experience & Technical Skills

• Desirable 3-6 years' experience in the solar PV and/or BESS sector, ideally within a developer, asset management company, or engineering company
• Solid background in managing PV/BESS portfolios, performance analysis, and root cause identification of site issues
• Demonstrable experience with BESS system manufacturers, integrators, or EPC contractors. Knowledge of the complete architecture of a BESS system
• Experience working in international environments is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in English - mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PBI). Experience using PVsyst.
• Availability to travel internationally
