JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Asset Management team, part of Investments, works alongside Portfolio Management and the Acquisitions team. Its primary function is to execute asset-level investment strategies across Multifamily, Flexible Living, and Student Accommodation sectors, delivering performance targets aligned with the Business Plan. As an Analyst, you will support the Asset Manager in daily asset management activities and collaborate with other internal teams.

Key Role Responsibilities

  1. Monitor performance of specific initiatives, analyzing leasing, income, expenses, and impact on asset returns to achieve business goals. Support investment strategies such as NOI maximization and value-add initiatives.
  2. Build and maintain complex financial models to project cash flows and forecast investment returns for decision-making.
  3. Assist in preparing annual operational and capital budgets and business plans for review by senior management and capital partners.
  4. Prepare reports for capital partners and senior management, including regular and ad hoc updates.
  5. Monitor market, industry, and competitor data, providing insights and reports.
  6. Collaborate across teams to enhance reporting systems and data collection for better visibility and efficiency.
  7. Complete various financial, administrative, and analytical reports to support business plans.
  8. Track leasing performance within portfolios and assist with revenue and expense assumptions for new acquisitions.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Degree in a related field such as finance, mathematics, economics, science, engineering, or real estate (2:1 or higher).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint (advanced) and Excel (advanced).
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.

Experience & Skills

  • Passion for real estate and interest in business strategy.
  • Experience in analytical roles within asset management, investment banking, private equity, or related sectors.
  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
  • Competent in financial modeling, valuations, and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support strategic decisions.
  • Experience with data management tools, dashboards, and possibly Yardi or Python.

Interpersonal Attributes

  • Inquisitive, commercially minded, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.

  • Experience in residential real estate is a plus but not essential.
