Job summary

maxon in Barcelona is seeking a Network Engineer to run and improve its Aruba network, including Wi‑Fi, LAN, and ClearPass. You will join a small ICT security team and coordinate with security and firewall colleagues in a hybrid setup with occasional travel to Switzerland.

The role requires hands-on Aruba Central, ClearPass, AOS‑CX experience and a degree in network engineering with 2–3 years' background; based in Barcelona with 3 days in office.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Aruba Central experience.
• Deploying and managing Wi‑Fi 7 access points.
• Aruba ClearPass administration.
• Managing Aruba AOS-CX switches.
• HPE Aruba Networking ACSP/ACX certification.
• Clear communication with IT and business colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise tasks with security focus.
• Experience in a small team with external suppliers.
• Degree in network engineering or related field with 2–3 years' experience.
• Based in Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Aruba Wi‑Fi environment via Aruba Central.
• Configure and maintain Aruba ClearPass; manage NAC and policies.
• Lead Wi‑Fi/LAN lifecycle projects and point deployment of APs and switches.
• Monitor and meet ISO 27001 requirements across LAN/WLAN.
• Provide network insights to security team and assist incident analysis.
• Collaborate with firewall team and external suppliers.
• Ensure Wi‑Fi services meet company SLAs and security features.
