A pioneering AI startup located in Spain seeks a Founding AI Engineer to develop an AI-driven marketing platform. This role offers a base salary of up to £100,000 plus equity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AI startups and expertise in NLP and LLMs. This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in London or Barcelona.

Fancy building something from the ground up that reimagines how marketing emails are created, designed and sent, all in seconds? Our client is on a mission to let AI handle every step of the email campaign journey, and they need a Founding AI Engineer to help make it happen.

About them

They’re backed by one of Europe’s best‑known fellowships, a programme that’s already spawned unicorns. Over the past year they’ve built a prototype platform capable of sending ultra‑personalised email campaigns with almost zero user input. Valued at $5 million (pre‑seed), they aim to double that by their next raise in September.

What you’ll bring

• Hands‑on experience taking an AI startup from zero to one
• Solid track record developing, training and deploying NLP models, think BERT and classic pre‑LLM techniques
• Expertise with cutting‑edge LLMs and fine‑tuning, including OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, LLaMA and the like
• Experience building multi‑agent systems

Bonus points

• Background in email marketing
• Experience generating synthetic data
