Application Programmer (m / w / d), Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time

Start of Work: 01.03.2025

The German Pension Insurance Saarland, as the regional provider of statutory pension insurance and provider of supplementary miners' insurance, is looking to strengthen its team in the area of information technology as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and maintain applications and programs
• Prepare, monitor, and carry out test work as part of software release changes
• Create and maintain system documentation
• Collaborate in working and project groups and in the pension insurance competence center
• Create database queries and searches using SQL

Qualifications

• Completed technical / university studies in the field of computer science or similar subject area with IT orientation, or equivalent skills and professional experience
• Experience in the development of JEE applications (development environment: Eclipse; build tool: Maven; version management: Git; plugins for Checkstyle, PMD, FindBugs; JBoss and Websphere Application Server)
• Knowledge of COBOL, XML / JAXB, or C++ is an advantage
• Knowledge of a relational database system (e.g., Oracle) and the SQL query language
• Basic PC knowledge in the Windows environment
• Knowledge of Linux
• Ability and willingness to familiarize yourself with new work areas and methods in the shortest possible time
• Willingness to undergo an extended security check (SÜ2) in accordance with the Saarland Security Check Act
• Independent and goal-oriented way of working
• Ability to find and develop solutions independently with good teamwork skills
• Willingness for continuous professional development
• High level of commitment, reliability, resilience, communication and teamwork skills, strong organizational and planning skills, initiative, and sense of responsibility
• Willingness to work and perform remote maintenance (via laptop) outside normal working hours and at weekends (in exceptional cases)
