Application Programmer (m / w / d), Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time

The German Pension Insurance Saarland, as the regional provider of statutory pension insurance and supplementary miners' insurance, is looking to strengthen its IT team as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop, support, and maintain applications and programs
• Prepare, monitor, and execute test work for software release updates
• Create and maintain system documentation
• Collaborate in working groups, project teams, and the pension insurance competence center
• Create database queries and searches using SQL

Qualifications

• Completed technical or university studies in computer science or a related IT field, or equivalent skills and professional experience
• Experience in developing JEE applications (development environment: Eclipse; build tool: Maven; version management: Git; plugins for Checkstyle, PMD, FindBugs; servers: JBoss and Websphere)
• Knowledge of COBOL, XML/JAXB, or C++ is advantageous
• Knowledge of relational database systems (e.g., Oracle) and SQL
• Basic PC skills in Windows environment
• Knowledge of Linux
• Willingness to quickly familiarize oneself with new work areas and methods
• Willingness to undergo an extended security check (SÜ2) per Saarland Security Check Act
• Independent, goal-oriented working style
• Ability to develop solutions independently and work well in teams
• Willingness for continuous professional development
• High commitment, reliability, resilience, communication and teamwork skills, strong organizational and planning abilities, initiative, and sense of responsibility
• Availability for remote work outside normal hours and weekends in exceptional cases
