The Role

We are looking for an Area Manager, to lead and drive our business in the Middle East & Africa region for the Lighters Division. You will play a strategic role in consolidating our brands, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the successful execution of commercial plans in highly dynamic and competitive markets.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: define and execute the commercial strategy for the MEA region, aligned with global objectives.
  • Business Development: unlock new market opportunities, strengthen distributor partnerships, and expand presence in key territories.
  • Commercial Performance: drive sales growth, profitability, and market share, monitoring performance metrics and adjusting actions when needed.
  • Customer & Distributor Management: build and maintain long-term relationships with distributors, key accounts, and partners.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: partner with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Market Intelligence: anticipate challenges and capture opportunities through market analysis and consumer insights.
  • Sustainability & Compliance: guarantee alignment with company values, sustainability goals, and compliance requirements.

This is a strategic role, ideal for someone with a strong commercial background, a global mindset, and the ability to thrive in complex, multicultural environments.

Qualifications

Degree in Business Administration, Commercial area, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Required Skills & Profile
  • Proven experience in commercial/sales management, ideally in FMCG/consumer goods, with strong international exposure.
  • Leadership and influencing skills to inspire and collaborate across multicultural teams.
  • Solid grasp of reporting, budgeting, contracts, compliance, and forecasting—comfortable managing both strategic and operational tasks.
  • Knowledge of supplier management, trade regulations, and quality standards (SAP experience is a plus).
  • Fluent in French & English (Arabic or other languages are a strong advantage).
  • Analytical, assertive, and results-driven, with excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Hands-on, organized, and resilient, thriving in complex environments.
  • High flexibility and mobility – willingness to travel extensively across the region.
