Arup in Spain is seeking an Architect – Major Transport & Infrastructure to join our Architecture team. You will contribute to high-profile transport and infrastructure projects across Spain and internationally, delivering innovative, people-centered design from conception through construction.

You will collaborate with engineers, designers and clients, apply architectural principles, coordinate technical development, and help grow Arup's transport architecture capability.

Formación

• Degree in Architecture (Master's preferred), or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional registration or progress towards architectural accreditation is desirable.
• Experience with architectural projects, ideally in transport, infrastructure, mobility or large-scale developments.
• Experience contributing to multidisciplinary projects from concept design through technical development and construction.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and external consultants.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, coordination and project delivery.
• Interest in transport infrastructure architecture and user-centred design.
• Fluent Spanish and English (essential).
• Bonus points for experience with BIM-based design, accessibility and inclusive design principles.

We are seeking an Architect – Major Transport & Infrastructure to join our Architecture team in Spain and contribute to high-profile national and international projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex transport and infrastructure developments alongside multidisciplinary teams across Arup's global network. You will gain exposure to some of the world's most challenging infrastructure programmes, developing innovative architectural solutions from concept design through construction while expanding your technical expertise in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an architect with experience in the design and delivery of complex projects, ideally within transport, infrastructure, mobility or other large-scale developments. The successful candidate will bring strong design skills, technical knowledge and a collaborative mindset, with a desire to contribute to projects that have a lasting impact on cities and communities worldwide.

As an Architect at Arup, you will:

• Contribute to the design and delivery of major transport and infrastructure projects across Spain and internationally.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams on complex, high-profile infrastructure programmes throughout all project stages.
• Develop architectural solutions that respond to technical, operational and user-centred requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants and project stakeholders to deliver integrated design outcomes.
• Gain exposure to international best practices, innovative design approaches and technically challenging projects across Arup's global portfolio.
• Support the continued growth of Arup's transport architecture capability.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about architecture, design quality and delivering meaningful projects. You will contribute to the technical delivery of complex infrastructure projects while working closely with experienced architects, engineers and consultants in a highly collaborative environment.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Degree in Architecture (Master's preferred), or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional registration or progress towards architectural accreditation is desirable.
• Experience working on architectural projects, ideally within transport, infrastructure, mobility or complex public buildings.
• Experience contributing to multidisciplinary projects from concept design through technical development and construction.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and external consultants.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, technical coordination and project delivery.
• Interest in transport infrastructure architecture, passenger experience and user-centred design.
• Fluent Spanish and English (essential).

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with transport infrastructure, mobility facilities or other large-scale public projects.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety principles.
• Experience with BIM-based design and coordination.
• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
• Experience developing construction details and technical documentation.
• Interest in sustainable design and integrated engineering solutions.
• Experience working on international or multidisciplinary projects.
