Arup in Spain is seeking a Senior Urban Planner to lead complex urban planning projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. You will draft planning instruments, analyze urban feasibility, and communicate with clients to advance sustainable city development.

Ideal candidates have 15 years of urban planning experience, strong CAD/ArcGIS skills, and fluency in Spanish and English, with a passion for innovation and sustainable design.

• 15 years of experience in urban planning or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of CAD and ArcGIS.
• Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and oversee complex urban planning projects, including drafting and processing of planning instruments and urban feasibility analysis.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across architects, engineers, environmentalists, sociologists, economists, and lawyers.
• Communicate and present projects to clients and support client relationship management.
• Contribute to business development through planning processes and project wins.
• Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
• Engage in continuous learning to deepen understanding of urban complexity and trends.

The Opportunity

This is your chance to be part of the City Planning & Design team, an area that is dedicated, among other things, to the planning and development of cities, seeking a balance between the social, economic and environmental dimensions, and always providing the components of sustainability and innovation to all development proposals. You will join a dynamic team and willparticipatein allcutting-edgeprojects carried out in the Department.

As a SeniorUrban Plannerat Arup, you will:

• Leadand oversee complexurban planning projects, including drafting and processing of planning instruments, urbanization projects, and urban feasibility analysis.
• Integrate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams that typically include architects, engineers, urban planners, environmentalists, sociologists, economists, and lawyers.
• Communicate and present projects to clients.
• Contribute to client relationship management in urban planning.
• Support business development through work winning in planning processes.
• Promote knowledge sharing and best practicesin urban planning processingwithin the team.
• Engage in continuous learning to deepen understanding of urban complexity and emerging trends.

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for someone proactive and dynamic who is willing to develop their career in the Masterplan & Urban Design are. Ideally,you’llbring:

• Studies in Architecture or Civil Engineering or related studies
• c.15 years of experience
• Special interest in urban planning,strategic consultancy,planning, processing, and land development
• It will be essential to have knowledge of CAD and ArcGIS
• Knowledge of Adobe package (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Excellent Spanish andexcellent at English
• Keen forworking on multidisciplinary projects and interest in sustainability and innovation.
• High organizational and communication skills.
• Experience working in Spain is necessary for this role

Bonus points if you have:

• Master's in planning, urban planning, urbanprocessingor territorial organization.
• Knowledge in communication and visualization of urban planning projects
• Advanced knowledge in GIS
• Advanced knowledge in CAD
• Knowledge in communication and visualization of urban planning projects
