Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. in Barcelona, Spain is seeking an electronics intern to design and validate power electronics circuits, develop schematics/PCB layouts, and model devices. Formación

• MS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with focus on power electronics.
• Hands-on verification and debugging of electronic circuits (firmware and hardware).
• Experience using electronic test equipment, including oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and teamwork.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design simulated and validated power electronics circuits to meet specifications.
• Prepare hardware and software setups to measure IC parameters.
• Develop schematic and PCB for new solutions.
• Develop device modeling (SPICE).
• Collaborate with IC design team to debug the device under test.

Who we look for

MPS isseekinga highly self-motivated intern with passion for hardware and good knowledge power electronic. He will support the validation of our new integrated circuits (IC) for high voltageapplications(including DC/DC, current sensors, isolated driver) working inside our hardware department.

Tasks

• Design simulated and validated power electronics circuits to meet the required specifications.
• Prepare hardware and software setups, together with our hardware & simulation team, to be able to measure all required parameters of our IC.
• Develop schematic and PCB to fornew solutions.
• Develop device modeling (spice)
• Work with IC design team to debug and troubleshoot the device under test.
• Generate documentation and reports with all performed test.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering; Subjects related to power electronics and control are desired.
• Hands-on experience in verification and troubleshooting electronic circuits (firmware and hardware).
• Experienceinthe use of electronic laboratory equipment including oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Good oral and written skills for communication and documentation
• Self-motivated,strong teamplayer
