The Role

The IT Application Engineer will be crucial in Solera’s daily operations and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical experience in identity and access management, focusing on production application services support, including Windows and Linux operating systems, and various proprietary software platforms. The role primarily involves application troubleshooting, deep technical expertise, and collaboration with team members to resolve technical issues efficiently.

• Scripting techniques involving Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and application architectures.
• Experience in building and motivating teams, managing large teams.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and resolve complex application issues to ensure optimal performance and usability, collaborating with department heads to identify and fix problems.
• Monitor application performance, measure uptime/downtime, and implement strategies for improvement.
• Manage and resolve technical issues, provide incident reports, and oversee the resolution process.
• Conduct regular system reviews to ensure health, security, and availability of applications.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure proper implementation of software projects and update applications as needed.
• Document procedures and practices clearly for ongoing organizational reliance.
• Monitor, measure, and ensure the performance, availability, security, recovery, and throughput of application services.
• Oversee the operational integrity of tools, systems, and infrastructure, including changes that could impact services.
