AKKODIS seeks an experienced Application Responsible / System Architect to own a critical banking application built on the Actico Rules platform. You will take end-to-end ownership of the application lifecycle, coordinating with Enterprise Architects, development, and operations teams to ensure stability, security, and performance.

In this role, you will work on modernization and integration initiatives, guide changes and incident management, and ensure compliance with architectural standards.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications, ideally in banking/financial services.
• Hands-on Java development and system engineering experience.
• Experience with Oracle Database and SQL.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns (web services, messaging, file transfer).
• Experience with Git and Jira for source control and issue tracking.
• Good understanding of enterprise architecture principles and secure software design.
• Experience with Actico Rules platform operations is desirable.
• English communication skills at least B2.

Responsabilidades

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the assigned application, ensuring availability, stability, performance, and lifecycle management.
• Act as primary contact for operational, functional, and technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate incident resolution, problem management, and application changes.
• Perform health checks, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Conduct impact and risk assessments for changes.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and service records.
• Lead lifecycle activities including modernization, rationalization, or decommissioning.
• Ensure compliance with NFRs, security baselines, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects on new features and architecture improvements.
• Contribute to target architecture design, modularization, API enablement, observability, and cloud migration.

We are currently looking for an Application Responsible / System Architect (Java & Actico Rules) to join an international banking project with Julius Baer, one of the world's leading Swiss private banking groups.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Responsible / System Architect to take end-to-end ownership of a business-critical internal application built on the Actico Rules platform.

This role combines application ownership, operational excellence, and system architecture, ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous evolution of a key banking application. You will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, development teams, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions aligned with Julius Baer's technology strategy.

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the assigned application, ensuring availability, stability, performance, and lifecycle management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for operational, functional, and technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate incident resolution, problem management, and application changes.
• Perform application health checks, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Conduct impact and risk assessments for application changes.
• Maintain accurate operational documentation, runbooks, and service records.
• Lead application lifecycle activities, including modernization, rationalization, or decommissioning when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements (NFRs), security standards, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to evaluate new features and architectural improvements.
• Ensure all solutions comply with enterprise architecture principles, security baselines, cloud-first strategies, and integration standards.
• Contribute to target architecture design, including modularization, API enablement, observability, and cloud migration initiatives.
• Identify technical debt, scalability challenges, and modernization opportunities.
• Promote the reuse of shared enterprise services such as identity management, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams across the organization.
• Support operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in Agile delivery and contribute to technical planning and solution design.
• Ensure knowledge sharing and maintain high documentation standards across the application lifecycle.

• Previous experience in Compliance or Regulatory environments is considered a plus.
• Good English communication skills (minimum B2).
