Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys’ business.

You will join a diverse team of global experts in a unique experience in support of the Ansys Discovery product and use your advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead in execution of all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, product presentations, and evaluations.
  • As a product expert in Ansys Discovery, interact with customers to understand their product design and digital transformation initiatives; analyze how to address customers’ requirements and articulate Ansys’ value proposition.
  • Perform detailed technical evaluations and proof of concept demonstrations on our customers’ most complex engineering applications.
  • Contribute to sales enablement and business development initiatives to drive significant impact to product revenue.
  • Collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new technical product features.
  • Test new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems and provide feedback to Ansys product development teams.
  • Partner with Ansys field and product marketing teams to create exciting new content to drive lead generation and sales pipeline.

Minimum Education / Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Required education and degree type: BS / MS / PhD in Mechanical / Aerospace / Electrical / Material Science Engineering or related field.
  • Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+ 3, MS+1 or PhD+0.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Solid understanding of numerical methods used in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Programming certifications in Python, C++, or similar.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with CAD-Embedded simulation tools.
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency.
  • Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in a related role, such as engineering analysis and FEA / CFD simulation.
  • Professional experience, internships or university projects involving simulation, analysis, or software applications related to engineering.
  • Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent Spanish / French.
