Earthstream are partnered with a global leader in battery solutions, who design and manufacture advanced energy storage systems for a wide range of industries. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) team in Madrid, Spain.

As an Application Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping energy storage solutions by analysing customer requirements, defining technical specifications, and leading the commercial bid process. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure our solutions align with market demands and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse customer technical specifications and ensure the adequacy of the solutions.
• Define system sizing and technical requirements for energy storage solutions.
• Provide technical support to the sales team, bid management, and product development teams.
• Lead the BESS bid process, including costing and commercial proposal preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in system and electrical engineering, application engineering, or electrochemistry.
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems, power electronics, and renewable energy integration.
• Experience in B2B business within an international, industrial environment.
• Proficiency in power systems, battery applications, and relevant software tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English, additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to confidently engage with customers from a technical standpoint.
• Educated to Degree level in Engineering discipline.
