Job Description:

We are seeking a Strategic Marketing Director (market insights/BI) for a leading company in the food and FMCG sector, based in Galicia with an international scope. The role requires a professional passionate about market intelligence, strategic branding, and customer-focused innovation, capable of translating data into strategic decisions, strengthening brand positioning, and leading innovation across markets.

Main Objectives of the Role:
  1. Lead market research (trends, products, customers, competitors) and identify business opportunities.
  2. Implement a Business Intelligence approach to support strategic planning and operations.
  3. Execute the company’s commercial strategy by promoting customer centricity and new product development aligned with brand values.
  4. Review and update the product launch process and lead successful market entries.
  5. Define and drive the company’s communication strategy in coordination with the corporate communication team.
  6. Lead and implement the global brand strategy.
  7. Support the preparation of country-level commercial plans with sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and lead a market research framework to analyze trends, customer behavior, and competition; establish reporting systems for strategic decision-making.
  2. Manage market information for value creation and product development; deliver actionable reports for business planning.
  3. Lead NPD processes and coordinate cross-functional teams for product launches, defining milestones and KPIs.
  4. Define and lead external and internal communication strategies to promote the company’s vision and market positioning.
  5. Collaborate with sales teams to support strategic planning at the country level.
  6. Drive brand development and ensure consistency across business units; guide local marketing efforts.
Candidate Profile:
  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, or similar.
  • Postgraduate studies in Strategic Marketing or related disciplines preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic marketing roles within FMCG, with expertise in digital strategy, e-commerce, P&L management, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Skills & Competencies: Expert in Market Insights & Business Intelligence, Strategic Brand Development, excellent communication, strategic thinking, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and AI tools. Fluent in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
