POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Regional Finance Senior Associate – EMEA, which is a remote position in Europe. You will join a growing company that is creating an entirely new category and is led by a veteran team in this unique industry space. You are someone who loves navigating finance-based challenges and who can help with daily finance operations while driving process improvements to increase efficiencies. You will work on a broad range of corporate finance roles and responsibilities across the EMEA region, including the support of local financial reporting, oversight of daily operations for certain European entities, preparation of financial statements, tax returns and more.

You will report to the Regional Finance Manager EMEA.

This job is fully remote based in Spain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the local month-end close processes for relevant assigned entities and maintenance of general ledgers.
2. Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting deliverables, including P&L analytical reviews, reconciliations, balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
3. Responsible for local bookkeeping reconciliation deliverables, ensuring agreement / bridging between NetSuite and local books.
4. Analyze accounting data to produce financial insights and forecasts.
5. Oversight and support of daily finance operations within the EMEA Region.
6. Prepare, record, and adjust Journal entries.
7. Process, research and record invoices, payments, and expenses.
8. Perform monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations to guarantee an accurate monthly accounting close process, including the review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts.
9. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company procedures, and regulations.
10. Work with local vendors to help prepare local statutory financial statements and provide support with local audits for relevant assigned entities.
11. Work with local Vendors to assist with the preparation and review of Tax filings on a monthly / quarterly basis (including VAT returns).
12. Prepare monthly and ad hoc funding requests in collaboration with the Treasury Department.
13. Participate in the annual L&P budgeting process.
14. Identify and assist with process improvement projects across the EMEA region.
15. Help with special projects based on the needs of the finance department, and other tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

1. Relevant professional qualification in finance such as CA / ACCA / CPA (full qualification preferred).
2. 4+ years of accounting / finance experience.
3. Foreign Currency transaction experience preferred.
4. In-depth understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as of intercompany transactions.
5. In-depth understanding of accounting month close processes.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
7. Promote effective interaction with all levels of personnel.
8. Display appropriate ethical knowledge through extraordinary integrity and professional conduct.
