Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) seeks an AP Accountant for Europe to join its accounting team. The role is based in Barcelona, Spain or Germany (Ettenheim or Munich) and reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

You will handle invoice registrations, reconciliations, and VAT support for European subsidiaries. The ideal candidate holds a BS/BA in accounting and has at least 5 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and fluent Spanish/English capabilities.

Formación

• BS/BA or technical degree in accounting, administration or related field.
• Accounting/Admin knowledge with 5 years' experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (C1); other EU language a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and organization skills.

Responsabilidades

• Registration and accounting of invoices and reconciliation with purchase orders and approvals.
• Resolve payment issues and answer payment questions from vendors.
• Account reconciliation and participation in closing processes.
• Prepare Audit ad-hoc requests.
• Ensure foreign currency transactions and accounts are correctly accounted.
• Support VAT reporting and other statutory requirements.
• Support other accounting processes as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments on vendor payments and company requirements.
• Assist in process optimization per corporate policies.
• Participate in automation and technology implementation and other improvements.
• Support audits and SOX compliance.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned.

AP Accountant - Europe

Reporting to: Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) provides power circuits for systems found in cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications. MPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self-motivated and resourceful team player to be a member of its accounting staff supporting our European subsidiaries. The AP Accountant reports to Accounting Supervisor and will be based in Barcelona, Spain or Germany (Ettenheim or Munich).

Responsibilities

• Registration and accounting of invoices, reconciliation of purchase invoices with purchase orders, verification of corresponding approvals and compliance with company policies and accounting rules.
• Resolve payment issues and answer payment questions from company vendors
• Account reconciliation and participation in closing processes.
• Preparing Audit ad-hoc requests.
• Ensure that foreign currency transactions and accounts are correctly accounted
• Supports VAT reporting and other statutories.
• Supports other accounting processes as needed.
• Work closely with other departments to guide on procedures related to vendor payments and company requirements.
• Support in optimizing processes according to corporate policies.
• Participates in automation and technology implementation and other process improvement initiatives.
• Supports Audits, SOX compliance
• Support for ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or technical degree in accounting, administration or related field
• Accounting/Admin. knowledge with 5 years' experience
