We are currently looking to hire a part-time Anatomic Pathologist (m/f/d). In this role, you will diagnose diseases in companion, large, and laboratory animals by examining body tissues, interpreting biopsies and cytological smears, and generating accurate reports in a timely manner, making clinicopathologic correlations useful to clinicians.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Produce pathology (histopathologic and cytologic) reports according to current Antech best practices, including microscopic descriptions, findings, comments, and references when appropriate.
  2. Finalize or preliminarily report cases in a prescribed format, complying with service deadlines.
  3. Achieve a reading load of 50% cases within 3 months of starting.
  4. Consult with colleagues, clients, and other professionals via phone, email, digital pathology software, and video conferencing.
  5. Participate in conferences, seminars, and rounds using internet-based video conferencing.
  6. Assist lab personnel with specimen processing as needed.
  7. Participate in digital pathology consultations with other pathologists.
  8. Engage in continuing education to stay current on diagnostic veterinary pathology standards.
  9. Participate in internal Quality Control procedures.
  10. Contribute to training veterinary students, interns, and residents as time allows.
  11. Perform other duties relevant to Anatomic Pathology, Antech, and Mars Veterinary Health.
Your Profile:
  1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent.
  2. Board certification or eligibility for certification by ACVP or ECVP is required.
  3. Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the respective country.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and management.
  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Passion for helping animals and people.
  8. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, including remotely.
  10. Experience with dictation software, especially Dragon Medical Practice Edition, is a plus.
  11. Fluency in Spanish, proficiency in English and/or Portuguese is a plus.
