The Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing vendor data to identify cost reduction opportunities, supplier synergies, and performance optimization. Through systematic data consolidation and timely reporting, this role will generate actionable insights that drive procurement efficiencies and support informed decision-making. The Procurement Analyst actively contributes to cross-functional and strategic projects to strengthen and optimize the company's overall supply chain operations. The role also ensures effective vendor document management by maintaining accurate, updated, and compliant records within designated systems and platforms, guaranteeing timely renewals and adherence to company standards.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and risk factors.
- Develop dashboards and reports to support decision-making.
Supplier and Contract / Document Management:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing supplier contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure contractual obligations are met and compliance is maintained.
- Monitor the status of each MSA, Rebate agreement, SLA, or vendor certification, ensuring they are always up-to-date and uploaded onto the company's platform.
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers specializing in temperature-controlled logistics services.
- Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, service level, cost, temperature excursions) and communicate these performance issues clearly and effectively.
Strategic Sourcing:
- Support sourcing initiatives for temperature-controlled courier services and related materials/ancillaries.
- Assist in developing procurement strategies based on gathered data and reports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with operations, quality, and other finance areas to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Meet regularly to ensure data used throughout procurement processes is accurate and effective.
- Communicate time-sensitive procurement issues and risks to key stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and reduce lead times.
- Support implementation of purchasing e-platforms/tools and facilitate supplier integration.
- Participate in supplier training programs related to projects or tools.
- Contribute to designing supplier programs aimed at retention and loyalty.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in logistics, courier, healthcare, or supply chain sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with procurement or ERP software (e.g., SAP).
- Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics dynamics, especially in time-sensitive environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and be detail-oriented.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred / Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in Portuguese (spoken and written).
- Experience with air freight, same-day, or next-flight-out (NFO) courier services.
- Understanding of customs and international trade compliance.
