We announce a PhD position within the TRansient Plasmas in Planetary Atmospheres (TRAPPA) group at the IAA - CSIC in Granada, Spain. The position focuses on investigating atmospheric electricity phenomena, lightning detection, and chemical processes in the atmosphere using satellite and ground-based measurements, as well as modeling tools like WRF.
The position offers full-time employment as a PhD student for 3 years, with a possible extension of 1 year. The starting date is negotiable but ideally September 16, 2025. The gross salary is 1600 EUR/month with 14 payments, including full social security coverage and health insurance.
Applicants can apply even if they have not yet obtained their Master’s degree but plan to do so by early September 2025, provided they register as a doctoral student at the University of Granada by then.
