This PhD position is within the TRansient Plasmas in Planetary Atmospheres (TRAPPA) group at the IAA - CSIC in Granada, Spain. The research focuses on atmospheric electricity phenomena, lightning detection, and chemical impacts in the atmosphere, utilizing space- and ground-based measurements and modeling tools.
Fulltime employment as a PhD student for 3 years, with an optional extension of 1 year. The gross salary is 1600 EUR/month (14 payments). The starting date is negotiable, ideally September 16, 2025, with full social security coverage.

Living expenses in Granada are lower than in other parts of Spain. Full health insurance and social security coverage are provided.
