We announce a PhD position within the TRansient Plasmas in Planetary Atmospheres (TRAPPA) group at the IAA - CSIC in Granada, Spain. The position focuses on investigating atmospheric electricity phenomena, lightning's chemical role, and regional/global atmospheric chemistry using space- and ground-based measurements, modeling tools, and data analysis from satellite instruments like MTG, VLF/LF networks, LMA, and the ESA's ASIM mission.
Full-time employment as a PhD student for 3 years, with a possible extension. The salary is 1600 EUR/month with 14 payments, including full social security coverage and health insurance. The start date is flexible but ideally September 16, 2025.
Applicants can have their master's degree by early September 2025 and must be registered as doctoral students at the University of Granada by then.
