About the Role:

The Content Strategist is responsible for developing and implementing content strategies for clients on the Amazon platform. This role involves guiding and mentoring the in-house and freelance design teams to produce functional, attractive, and sales-oriented visual content. The primary focus is on content team management, overseeing designers to ensure high performance. The Content Strategist will collaborate with clients and project teams to understand each account's needs.

The ideal candidate provides constructive feedback, aligns content strategies with client feedback, and fosters a collaborative, creative, and respectful work environment. This role combines leadership with hands-on graphic design, where the strategist will also personally handle content creation tasks. A deep understanding of design principles, current trends, and Amazon marketplace specifics is essential. The candidate should be a self-starter, capable of delegating tasks effectively, and maintain a positive outlook when facing challenges.

The Content Strategist will oversee in-house designers, ensure they stay updated on Amazon content policies, and train new team members as part of onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and creative direction for each client's brand, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to Amazon best practices.
  2. Research clients and competitors to craft tailored strategies.
  3. Participate in onboarding calls and content strategy discussions with clients and internal teams.
  4. Manage content-related escalations and provide creative feedback.
  5. Guide and mentor the design team, offering feedback and creative solutions.
  6. Oversee daily tasks such as catalog updates, image replacements, and listing tweaks.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams on content and performance updates.
  8. Lead daily stand-ups to address blockers and maintain workflow.
  9. Conduct content audits and create moodboards for clients.
  10. Coordinate with SEO and editorial teams for content updates and strategy alignment.
  11. Track performance metrics through monthly reports.
  12. Train and onboard new designers, ensuring understanding of content standards.
  13. Work with SEO specialists to review and update restricted terms quarterly.
  14. Support the integration of new content modules and updates.
  15. Participate in client feedback calls to facilitate clear rework notes.
  16. Lead regular design training sessions to maintain high standards.
  17. Partner with project managers to ensure timely delivery and team KPIs.
  18. Contribute to internal performance processes and team evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Design.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Design.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Amazon content creation and management.
  • At least 2 years managing creative teams.
  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating expertise.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong time management skills.
