Job Purpose

Lead financial and business analysis of all airport-related operations across Vueling's ground services networkin alignment with internal budgeting processes, contractual agreements and corporate performance frameworks inorder to improve cost efficiency, ensure operational and supplier performance as well as tosupport data-driven strategic
decisions.

Main Accountabilities

• Ensure early detection of underperformance, facilitate theissuance of performance letters, and support financialclaims or penalties based on contract breaches.
• Ensure financial discipline, validate that forecastedsavings are achieved, and provide granular insights intobudget deviations, including invoice-level investigations.
• Identify inefficiencies or non-requested services, detectbilling errors or operational excesses, and implementcorrective actions.
• Evaluate and quantifythe economic impact,return on investment, and operational implications of initiatives (e.g. reducingmanpower based on luggage volumes, changingcommission schemes) to internal committees and airport managers.
• Reduce data discrepancies, ensure consistentperformance measurement, and align reporting withoperational decision-making needs.
• Deliver clear and compelling insights that enable seniormanagement to make informed decisions, particularly inmonthly closings, strategic reviews, and VIC meetings.
• Deliver data-driven insights such as historical spend andcost simulations, enabling better commercial terms andproactive renewal planning for upcoming contracts.
• Address the department’s high cost-reduction pressure bygenerating new initiatives and supporting ongoingtransformation efforts.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyse supplier performance through KPI and SLAmonitoring, including operational metrics such as lostluggage, punctuality, safety, and cost indicators.
• Contribute to internal savings validation by reviewingairport invoices, identifying billing errors, and proposingcorrective actions
• Identify EBIT andcost-saving opportunities and support monthlybudget closings in coordination with Finance,identifying variances and validating financial impacts.
• Lead the “additionals control” project, focusing onvariable costs from ground handling services across allairports, especially services beyond the base contract.
• Prepare and support the development of businesscases for new airport-related projects and innovations,such as kiosk implementation or ancillary serviceexpansion.
• Support contract-related processes in coordination withthe Procurement team (SPM), providing analytical inputbefore and during negotiations.
• Prepare, validate and interpret the accuracy and relevance of monthly KPI as well asreports incollaboration with the Data team, and contribute to thedefinition of future performance targets.
• Prepare executive-level presentations on supplier andoperational performance, emerging trends, andbusiness opportunities, using tools such as Tableau
  and Excel.
• Support internal communication and reporting relatedto ground operations projects involving third parties(e.g. commercial initiatives with ground agents).

Education

• University degree preferably in Engineering (with AeronauticalEngineering being highly valued), Industrial Engineering orsimilar technical disciplines with financial focus.
• Strong financial and operational knowledge, particularly in Cost control and trackingagainst budget.
• Strong knowledge in savings validation and financial deviation analysis.
• Knowledge in preparation andevaluation of business cases for investments or process changes
• Familiarity with airport operations and ground handling service models, including fixedvs. variable (additional) cost structures.
• Deep Knowledge in Excelanddata visualisation and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau)

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in roles that involve financial
  analysis, business case preparation, supplier performance monitoring, or contract
  support is mandatory.
• Experience within the aviation sector is highly desirable, especially in areas related toairport operations, procurement, or cost efficiency projects.
• Conducting quantitative analysis to support operational decisions (e.g., staffing
  optimization, ancillary pricing analysis).
• Leading or supporting cost-efficiency initiatives in a high-pressure environment withdemanding savings targets.
