Job Description : An opportunity for an Aircraft Tactical Datalinks Communication Systems Test Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. The selected candidate will join TADVA3 “Communications & Datalinks SP” within the Flight & Integration Test Centre.Are you someone who enjoys getting hands-on with complex systems, interrogating data generated on them and rigorously assessing their performance?Are you someone who needs to see tangible results, excited by technical challenges, fault finding and resolving technical problems with creative solutions with a digital mind-set? The position in a nutshell : We are looking for a Test Engineer in the perimeter of Aircraft Communication Systems specially focused on Military Aircraft Tactical Datalinks . Therefore, the roles and responsibilities lay within the IV&V activities (Independent Verification & Validation) with the final target of demonstrating the correct performance of Airborne Datalink Systems.The testing is performed at different levels, from Virtual Testing stages up to Laboratory Subsystem and Global System Integration Rigs but eventually giving also support to on-Aircraft Ground & Flight testing if required.The team gives support to all the different programs within the Spanish Airbus Defence and Space portfolio (Eurofighter, A400M, Derivatives, Light & Medium, Eurodrone, SIRTAP, Helicopters, FCAS, etc.). Examples of Datalinks Systems under test are the following ones :

• Link22 Tactical Datalink systems
• Link Y and LU2 Tactical Datalink systems
• VMF Tactical Datalink systems
• JREAP Protocols

RESPONSIBILITIES / MAIN TASKS The main tasks of the jobholder will be : 1 - Preparation of all datasets necessary prior to the run time test execution, including the creation and maintenance of Rig Test Cases / Procedures, assessment of test concepts / strategies, etc.2 - Operation of the Rig Test Equipment (both standard and special-to-type Test-Equipment) during run time exercises, including Initialisation protocolos, Crypto Loading, etc.3 - Analysis of systems' behavior and test results and creation of respective Test Reporting documentation, in liaison with the corresponding Design Office specialists.4 - Creation of specific failure reporting (System Problem Reports) and management of their lifecycle, including root cause investigations. SKILLS We are looking for candidates with an university degree in Industrial Engineering or Telecommunications (or a related discipline) with an orientation to programming and IT connectivity. We know that a 100% match in all the following required skills / experience is impossible, but we will select the candidates that are closer to it and then, internal training and coaching will do the rest :

• At least 2 years of experience in Radiofrequency Tactical Communications Systems Engineering and at least 1 year experience in testing environments for complex computer systems
• Knowledge and / or experience in the following disciplines :

Link16 Stanag, protocols and operational concepts

• Link22 Stanag, protocols and operational concepts
• VMF Stanag, protocols and operational concepts
• JREAP Stanag, protocols and operational concepts
• Associated HW operation (MIDS LVT, KOR24, JTRS)
• Cryptoloaders, Terminal Exercisers, TIGER, TACTX or similar Network Simulators
• General Test Support Systems, especially MaTE, AIDASS, SEAS, LabView, etc.
• Software programming languages (Python, MatLab, Scripting, etc) and big data analysis tools
• Controlling and Reporting processes and tools (DOORS, Octane, FTNet, DMS, PCMS, PRMS, Agilo, etc)
• Advanced level in English and Spanish , technical and general, is required so that face to face negotiations can properly be managed, even remotely.

• Be eligible for ITAR and National Export Control coverage (do not belong to the ITAR banned list of nationalities regularly updated by the US authorities)
