Job Description:

As a successful candidate, you will join the A/C Networking and Safety DLs Design Office team responsible for the inception, design, and development of Connectivity Solutions for Air Power Products, including integration, qualification, and certification support.

The activity will follow Airbus systems engineering processes and agile development methodology.

The ideal candidate is a senior professional with a background in areas such as IP Networks, CyberSecurity, Data Links, Satcom, Software Defined Radios, etc. Not all areas are expected for every candidate; a strong commitment and skillfulness can balance limited experience. Eager to learn is essential.

You will contribute to innovative projects supporting current and future platforms. Besides technical skills, you must be a collaborative team player capable of adapting to a dynamic environment with an innovative mindset. The role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in LoS Datalinks, WB & NB Satcom, LTE/4G/5G technologies, Antennas, RF/Link Budget, and rugged mission computers based on RTOS and IP security.

Knowledge areas include:

• Radio Frequency Systems, Link Budget
• Data Links, Satcom, LTE/4G/5G
• Communications Systems based on SDR prototyping and development
• Systems and solutions modeling (e.g., Matlab)
• Embedded systems, HW design for FPGA-based SoC devices and SDRs
• Digital communication systems, modulation types, waveforms
• LAN/WAN technologies and protocols, including Software Defined Networks
• MANET, FANET, network topologies
• Ethernet standards and security technologies (Firewall, VPN, IPSEC/GRE, AES)
• Routers, switches, management and monitoring systems (CISCO), QoS, VoIP
• Cloud technologies (a plus)
• Systems Design Engineering Process
