• Más de 2 años de experiencia en contabilidad y finanzas.

Our research lines focus on the newly-discovered physical and chemical properties that arise from the behaviour of matter at the nanoscale. ICN2 has been awarded the Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence distinction for three consecutive periods (2014-2018, 2018-2022, 2023-2026). ICN2 comprises 19 Research Groups, 7 Technical Development and Support Units and Facilities, and 2 Research Platforms, covering different areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Job Title: Accounting Officer

Research area or group: Finance department

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Bank transaction posting and reconciliation
2. Clearing account monitoring and discrepancy resolution
3. Visa process oversight and compliance
4. Cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
5. Tax compliance including preparation for external tax filings, upkeep of tax records, VAT ledger review and reconciliation
6. Payroll accounting entries and new hire approvals (payroll / HRIS setup)
7. Headcount budget tracking and control
8. Audit support, financial reporting, and period-end closing

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar

Knowledge:

• Accounting knowledge: General Accounting Plan, KPIs, Balance Sheet, P&L, Regional Accounting Standards (CCAA), etc.
• English: Ability to communicate in English is essential.
• Advanced Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Power BI and SAP BO.

Professional Experience:

• At least 2 years performing relevant tasks.
• Experience in Catalan research centers is valued.
• Advanced accounting knowledge is valued.
• Proactive, analytical, highly organized, team player, with strong communication skills.
• Able to present financial reports clearly and escalate issues when needed.
