Job summary

Visium seeks an AI Platform Architect to own the AI/ML layer of Databricks platforms built for clients on Azure. You will shape architecture, define workloads, and deliver proposals with AI/ML engineers, data engineers and platform teams.

You bring hands-on ML platform engineering experience, a proven track record of production ML, and strong Databricks expertise to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure deployments in production environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in MLOps, ML platform engineering, or a similar role with hands-on production ML experience.
• Proven experience designing and standing up an ML/AI platform.
• Experience taking models to production with reliable deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Deep hands-on Databricks expertise: MLflow, Unity Catalog, Model Serving; Azure Databricks preferred; Azure ML advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, stand up and operate ML platforms on Azure Databricks with feature pipelines, MLflow tracking, model registry, training pipelines, and serving.
• Define model lifecycle standards including versioning, evaluation gates, promotion, deployment, rollback, and retraining.
• Build production-ready deployment patterns: API exposure, automated MLflow workflows, CI/CD for models and data.
• Own production monitoring for ML systems: data drift, model quality, latency, cost, with alerting and retraining triggers.
• Design scalable Databricks workloads and translate findings into solution designs and delivery proposals.
• Lead decisions on ML tooling and platform evolution with Databricks and Azure ML; mentor teams.
