Job summary

Eleven VMS seeks an experienced Lead Data to own and shape the data platform architecture while hands-on with pipelines. You will lead a small team and coordinate with product, tech and business stakeholders.

The role requires cloud experience (Databricks on Azure), strong SQL/Python/PySpark skills, and a focus on governance, cost, and delivery. Flexible/hybrid work options and global collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS, Engineering, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years in data engineering or data analytics with lead experience.
• Cloud-based data platforms experience, preferably Databricks.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and PySpark with production dbt experience.
• Strong background in data warehousing, ETL and data modelling.
• High standard of quality and reliability within a team.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the data platform including modelling, governance, security and cost.
• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure using Databricks, Spark and dbt.
• Lead and grow the data team with code reviews, standards and skills development.
• Translate business needs into a prioritised data roadmap and deliver end-to-end.
• Ensure reliability, quality and cost efficiency of the platform; manage Databricks spend.
• Support the AI team in deploying developments to production.
• Establish data governance policies and stay updated on industry trends.
