We are looking for an AI MANAGER based in our BOADILLA DEL MONTE (Madrid) office, with at least 8 years of experience in AI/ML roles with diverse problem-solving background.

Your role

We are looking for an AI MANAGER for our Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO) department , a key team in our technology ecosystem.

As Artificial Intelligence expert (AI), you will be lead the strategic development and implementation of AI technologies across Wealth Management and Insurance (WMI) business lines, driving digital transformation, innovation, and competitive advantage through advanced AI solutions. The role sits within the WMI’s Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO).

This role provides an excellent opportunity to influence and shape the strategic agenda for AI adoption and spearhead the deployment of Santander's AI productswithin the WMI.

Your main tasks will be:

• Develop comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Design and implement AI-powered solutions for improve customer experience, growth business and revenue and operational efficiency.
• Identify key priority WMI use cases where GenAI can be leveraged.
• Lead cross-functional teams in AI technology development and integration.
• Oversee machine learning models for predictive analytics.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical AI guidelines.
• Manage AI research, prototype development, and proof of concept initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with AI technology vendors and research institutions.

What you’ll bring

You’re sure to fit in if you like technology and are constantly learning about new developments, as well as having an interest in better understanding the risks faced by the Bank. In addition to developing your technical skills, you should also be interested in improving your soft skills.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, these are the key skills we’ll be looking for in your CV:

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML roles with diverse problem-solving background.
• 5+ years of specific experience in financial services, wealth management, or insurance technology.
• Proven track record of successful AI/ML implementation in enterprise environments.
• Experience with large-scale AI/ML project and team management.
• Expert-level knowledge of machine learning algorithms.
• Knowledge and understanding of GenAI and Prompt Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, and AI development frameworks.
• Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of neural networks and deep learning architectures.
• Expertise in predictive analytics and data science.
